Satellite broadband is a technology that you may not heard of. This
incredible technology allows for upload and download of data anywhere in
the U.K - at super-fast speeds.
Th UK government has been struggling to get service providers to enable
the majority of the UK population to have access to super-fast broadband
speeds. There is much talk in the media about community projects,
digging fibre optic cable trenches and the general leaving out of those
in less densely populated areas. Indeed many or the large broadband
providers cant see how the will make any money out of providing access
to these communities.
We were amazed when we got involved in this project that an alternative
already exists. Its real technology available today. Its just like
getting SKY installed - a small satellite on the side of your property.
The satellite is connected to a WIFI router ( just like normal broadband
) and you can share your data via wifi to any device as normal e.g.
phones, laptops and TV.
Old satellite broadband involved download data via a satellite but
uploading data via a phone line. This techonology has been radically
changed via the tooway technology. Now the upload signal is beamed to
the satellite enabling upload speeds of up to 6MB and downloads of 24MB
The price is reasonable and its real - so if you are stuck for speed
